BETH AND LUCY MAKE THE MARK AT CITY LAW FIRM

01/09/2009

Nottingham Law firm, Rothera Dowson has announced that trainees Beth Jinks and Lucy Wood have now successfully qualified as solicitors with the firm.

Lucy will take up her position in the firm’s specialist transport department where she will advise motorists and businesses in relation to transport law, and Beth will begin her role working across Rothera Dowson’s employment and personal injury departments.

Both Lucy and Beth have been with Rothera Dowson since the completion of their LPCs at The University of Sheffield. Like all new solicitors, the past two years have seen them working as trainees, assisting fee earning teams of solicitors and selecting their preferred legal career paths. Prior to her training at the firm, Lucy also spent one year as a paralegal in Rothera Dowson’s family department.

“As a firm we take on two trainees each year and we look for trainee solicitors who can demonstrate great academic and technical expertise and also show that they can empathise and work effectively with people – the two cornerstones of our business,” explains Amanda Redgate, Managing Partner at Rothera Dowson.

Our transport and employment departments are growing in stature in the region and further afield and Lucy and Beth have more than demonstrated the strengths that they will be able to bring to these teams. We are delighted to welcome them to the firm.
