NOTTINGHAM LAW FIRM HEADS TO ROME FOR MARATHON FUNDRAISER
19/03/2010
Two colleagues from Nottingham’s Rothera Dowson Solicitors will be running the Rome marathon next week to raise money for the firm’s nominated charity for 2010, Allsorts (Nottinghamshire).
Partner, Richard Hammond and IT Manager Stefano Pratesi are determined to raise as much as they can by race day (March 21st).
Richard comments: “Stef and I have been training really hard to prepare for the Rome Marathon next week, with intensive interval training, hill sprints and 22 mile training runs – not to mention the no alcohol rule, which we’ve broken once or twice unfortunately!
“But it’ll all be worth it when we cross that finish line in Rome and know that we’ve done our part to help a really worthy cause, which is our firm’s nominated charity this year.
Stef adds: “Being an Italian myself, it’s going to be a great personal achievement for me to complete my first Marathon on home soil. I’m not looking forward to aching the day after but, after five months of tough training; I intend to show Richard how to celebrate the Italian way!”
