OUR HISTORY

• 1824 - Dowsons Solicitors are established in Fletcher Gate, Nottingham
• 1827 - Rotheras Solicitors are established in Nottingham
• 1937 - German & Soar are founded and offices established in Nottingham
• 1951 - German & Soar open Branch office in Beeston
• 1982 - Dowsons open Branch office in Mapperley
• 1987 - German & Soar open Branch office in Wollaton
• 1988 - Dowsons amalgamate with JH Husbands & Sons, and acquire their West Bridgford office
• 1990 - Rotheras move to Kayes Walk in The Lace Market
• 1998 - Rotheras and Dowsons merge to become Rothera Dowson
• 2001 - German & Soar incorporated in Rothera Dowson
• 2002 - Amy Rothera became 6th generation of the Rothera family to qualify as a solicitor and become part of the firm.

Today, Rothera Dowson retains a tradition of personal service and a reputation built up since the reign of George IV. Not many law firms can say that!
